Our mission is to give every parent the knowledge, tools, and resources
they need to nurture their children’s mental health.

Our kids are in crisis and desperately need support.

In 2020, suicide was the 2nd leading cause of death in kids ages 10-14.

Between 2007 and 2018, the suicide rate increased 60% among U.S. adolescents.

Among U.S. kids ages 12 to 17,

  • 36.7% experience persistent feelings of sadness or hopelessness
  • 18.8% seriously considered attempting suicide
  • 15.7% made a suicide plan
  • 8.9% attempted suicide

Parents want desperately to help, but many don’t know how.

As parents, we know exactly what to do when our child becomes physically ill. But for many of us, understanding our child’s mental health can be overwhelming, frustrating, and uncomfortable — and to help our kids, we need more support than Google can provide. Many parents:

  • Have no prior experience with depression or anxiety.
  • Don’t recognize the symptoms in their kids and don’t know what to look for.
  • Struggle to connect and have meaningful conversations with their kids.
  • Think their kids are “going through a phase” or crying out for attention.
  • Don’t know where to go when they discover their child is in crisis.
  • Are also struggling with depression or anxiety.

Support for all Parents

Across the nation, countless organizations provide mental health resources for youth in crisis. Their work is critical. Yet the need to educate parents has been largely overlooked — until now.

Tell My Story democratizes access to mental health support. We provide evidence-based tools for every parent, everywhere — because that’s what it takes to save our children.

With the right support system, parents can gain the knowledge, resources, and tools they need to support their kids’ mental health. That’s what every parent deserves, and that’s what we provide.
